ecommerce Development Manager Following recent new client wins and product launches Shine Marketing has a requirement for an enthusiastic can-do individual to join our team of ecommerce and Online Marketing professionals. Shine Marketing provide ecommerce websites and online marketing solutions for clients predominantly in the online retail sector. Our solutions are based on open source solutions and the role is for someone with a strong knowledge of Php MySQL based products to support these projects. The most common platforms we use are Magento and Expression Engine. The role is to create websites on these platforms and to create bespoke developments to enhance the core products as required by our clients and to increase the effectiveness of the company. We also wish to take a more pro-active role in the community development of these Cms products developing enhancements which others may benefit from. Core Responsibilities (80 of role) To work with our design and front-end development team to create websites the meet the clients brief including Integration of supplied Xhtml Css and other design assets into the chosen content management solution. Development to extend the functionality of the platforms as required by the client brief. To select and manage appropriate hosting and other suppliers to support these websites. Secondary responsibilities (20 of role) Creation of web-based applications to further support the marketing services provided to clients. Support to other staff members in the technical aspects of running online marketing campaigns e.g. setting up Google Webmaster Accounts registering feeds with Feedburner implementing analytics packages on websites Be able to edit valid Xhtml Css markup to a high standard Ability to work with and integrate existing JavaScript libraries into designs extending functionality where required (e.g. jquery and plugins) Manage hosting suppliers domain registrations and renewals and other suppliers relating to the role. Personal Attributes Skills &amp abilities A passionate interest for online marketing and ecommerce is a must. Suitability The role would suit someone with experience in the hands-on implementation of ecommerce websites and online marketing activities who are wishing to expand their breadth of experience in a fast growing company. Qualifications &amp Experience The candidate will be educated to Hnd or Degree level or equivalent and have 3-5 years experience in a similar client-focused environment Demonstrating experience and a strong portfolio is more important than academic qualification. Experience of ecommerce is essential. Candidates will be given a practical test to complete in their own time following first interview to demonstrate their skills.
