A professional membership body is seeking to employ a Competency Manager to develop and monitor the organisations structure of qualifications and competence frameworks. The key responsibilities of this role will be to develop the qualifications this professional body provide and to monitor the quality performance of those qualifications. The post holder will be responsible for liaising with external stakeholders so it is necessary for the applicant to have good written and oral communication skills. Overall the post holder will ensure that the organisations offerings are kept relevant to market need and progressive within the industry. Role Deliverables Defining the professional standards which apply at all stages along the defined career path of the members. Providing appropriate development tools activities and frameworks to enable and assess increased professionalism. Ensuring an integrated quality assured process within which all the above activity can occur. Will work in consultation with appropriate internal and external stakeholders assisted by volunteer expertise with facility to recruit additional specialists on an ad hoc basis with actions underpinned by informed analysis of current position and market trends and feedback. regularly review pricing levels for qualifications and other services and where appropriate determine prices changes which respond to market conditions Essentials You will need to demonstrate a working knowledge and experience of the education and training sector including development of qualifications and or competence frameworks. Desirables Applicants with an education-related degree will be at an advantage. A professional qualification in project management.
