I have a shop called Something. I opened in 2004 and I am now looking for a full time member of staff to work closely with me to expand the business and to build the brand. You can see more about the shop online at w.something-shop.com Initially the successful candidate will spend a few weeks working in the shop getting to know the type of customer that we have and also understanding the look and feel of the shop. The ideal candidate should have the following Experience in retail and good customer service preferably one year minimum Excellent computer skills including Word Excel and a good knowledge of the internet A willingness to assist with whatever needs to be done A motivated energetic proactive and positive outlook Professional telephone manner Excellent command of English Excellent communication skills both written and oral Be a team player and also able to work on your own Great organisational skills and real attention to detail An interest in trends fashion and art is preferable A background in design would be an advantage The successful candidate will work closely with me in the following areas Customer service for the business as a whole ie the shop and website Website fulfilment processing orders keeping customers notified about their order and organising deliveries Online merchandising selecting and photographing the product and copywriting for website Regular mailing list communication for the shop and website Coming up with ideas for mailing list promotions Pr finding relevant press contacts writing press releases and driving editorial coverage for the shop and website Organising press visits and building a press file ensuring that the press has the information that they require Organising and attending evening shopping events Covering in the shop at lunchtimes and other busy periods Some Visual merchandising in the shop Working in the shop on some Saturdays but not every week Sometime in the future in addition to the role described above I would like the successful candidate to be involved in the conception and design of our own brand products which may include candles accessories bath and beauty products. In return for your excellent skills I will offer a great working environment 4 weeks holiday bank holidays and a salary of ?16000 per annum for the first three months which will be a probationary period. After this probationary period is completed successfully the salary will rise to ?18000 per annum.
